Alan Chaffee, CEO
Alan Chaffee is the CEO and Founder of Turning Point. He has 25 years of extensive experience in financial accounting, business consulting, company valuations, and corporate re-structuring. He has focused his last two decades helping companies from a diversity of industries—media to manufacturing and in-between—use financial information to drive operational improvements, manage cash flow, and increase profitability. As Turning Point’s CEO, Alan has performed CFO duties for over 100 middle market companies, revenues ranging from $2M to $150M annually. He continues to provide CEO coaching, with notable success.
Under Alan’s guidance, Turning Point has, in seven quick years, grown to become the Northwest’s leading CFO consulting practice, providing solutions-based advice, designing and implementing the financial processes that help companies make the most of their financial information. Turning Point also leads in mergers and acquisition involvement, on both the buy and sell sides, and has closed multiple transactions in the 7- and 8-figure arena. A third specialty of the company is business valuation services.
Prior to founding Turning Point, Alan was Managing Partner for a Seattle-based CPA firm. He also has more than 15 years of experience in senior executive roles, including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and President. He currently sits on two Boards of Directors.
Away from the office, Alan runs marathons, reads voraciously, and boasts to anyone who will listen about his three great kids. He and his family live on Bainbridge Island.
Jill Waltersdorph
Jill Waltersdorph brings to her Turning Point clients 25 years of knowledge, experience, and expertise. In a career that began in public accounting, she has served as controller and CFO in a variety of industries, for a number of companies, public and private.
She has been a member of executive teams, providing analysis and directing the due diligence process, raising more than $20M in capital for companies private and public.
Jill has been a CFO, negotiating lines of credit; designing and implementing financial, manufacturing, and accounting systems; driving turnarounds and sales of companies.
She has performed sensitivity and return analysis for acquisitions up to $50M. She is especially good at re-organizing systems and employees, to create efficiencies and manage cash flow.
Lucas Kartic
Lucas graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2010 and achieved his CPA in 2013. He has been a Turning Point team member since the company’s founding in 2009.
Lucas’ specialty is developing and implementing the financial processes that produce accurate and timely information for clients. He helps clients think strategically, using financial data to best advantage, increasing profit and managing cash flow.
He has been a part of multiple mergers and acquisitions, assisting clients on both the buy and sell sides, evaluating financial and operation structures.
Lucas lives in Ballard but his adventurous taste buds take him to restaurants all over the Seattle area. He is passionate about his strength and conditioning regimen and is a major sports nerd.
Eric Camm
Eric is an experienced turnaround and restructure advisor, who comes to his engagements utilizing his background as a corporate attorney. He has led numerous M&A transactions, restructure engagements, and Receiverships, and leads Turning Point’s turnaround and restructure group.
Eric has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, reorganization and insolvency, receiverships, Chief Restructuring Officer engagements, business succession planning, and business valuation.
Eric has assisted companies, both public and private, small to large, from a variety of industries, with initial financing and venture capital acquisition. His clients know Eric for bringing creativity and diligence to every project.
Prior to joining Turning Point, Eric was a founding member of the Apex Law Group, in Seattle, WA. He earned a BA from the University of Washington and a JD from Seattle University.
Eric lives on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle with his wife Heather, his children, and his two dogs. He is an avid golfer, hiker, and smokes Texas-style barbecue on a custom-built offset smoker.
